Small Victories 4.24
Guys, I don’t know how it’s been for you, but it’s been a week here. This week just seemed harder somehow. These were the bright spots:
This timer. When my kids are losing their minds about the thing I’m “making” them do, this timer always helps. They can see how much time they have left which is a huge motivator. It usually lives on our piano, but after some rough days this week it’s been following us all over the house.
This video clip of hamsters from BBC Earth. People were giggling. We watched it a bunch.
Hot dogs and Pirate’s Booty. It’s the little things. My kids were overjoyed to get to have hot dogs and Pirate’s Booty this week - it’s like Christmas came early this year. It was also a good reminder for me that what we’re all craving in the middle of this craziness is something familiar - and it would be worth planning other “normal” things to bring out at tough moments in the weeks to come.
4. My dogwood is blooming.
5. Dinner a Love Story’s PPP series and Amira El-Gawly’s Quarantine Diary on Instagram.
6. The seeds in my garden are starting to come up.
7. O is obsessed, totally obsessed with The Great British Baking Show. We discovered this week that our PBS Passport subscription has a course with Mary Barry and Paul Hollywood. It’s the BEST.
How was your week?
